Lenovo Phab 2 Pro

In case if you have missed Project Tango, it’s a 3D mapping technology by Google combination of a software with a specially designed hardware. What it does is, imagine that you’re checking a washing machine or fridge or something similar, but you’re not sure of whether it fits in the place. In that case, you could actually try mapping it and it shows that thing with the original size, once you fix the position you can just change the direction it is facing in. It merges the reality with a virtual reality, hence called as Augmented Reality. That’s what a Google Project Tango is, there are lot more capabilities with it too. In a short Project Tango is all about 3D mapping.

Lenovo gets first with the “Augmented Reality” ready smartphone by Collaborating with Google. The Phab 2 is huge when compared to other phablets, it nearly a tablet. Swipe elite plus review

Design,Build: Ergonomic,build to last!

Swipe elite plus comes with an ergonomic design with Jacquard poly-carbonate body, which resides inside a metal frame which looks premium and gives the device a solid build quality, the device comes with capacitive touch buttons in the bottom with back lighting, with a metal circle in the centre which for home button, speakers on the bottom which not only shoots great sounds but also helps you hear sound without cupping your hands, you get micro us in center of those speakers, and on top you will see a 3.5 mm audio jack, and in the right you will find clicky and tactile buttons which include power button and volume rockers, coming to the display swipe elite plus comes with a 5 inch vibrant display, with 1920×1080 pixels, IPS High definition display which displays vibrant colors, making 785 screen to body ratio the phone looks elegant in hand, and also enables you to see rich content like HD videos and Movies on it. which is covered with dragon trail protective glass, which saves the screen from scratches and drops.

In the hood: Swipe elite plureview

Swipe elite plus comes with a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset which runs on 1.5GHz with Octa-Cores, which enables you to play high end games and use applications without any lags smoothly, powering it up swipe elite plus runs with 2GB RAM, which helps in efficiency of the phone, coming to graphics its powered with Adreno 405 GPU which helps running big games like asphalt 8 smoothly on the device, while in swipe elite plus, internal memory is 16GB, Swipe comes with microSD slot which is expandable upto 64GB, plus you have the Swipe box which gives you 100GB of cloud storage, where you can store all your photos and files at ease.

the phone is powered up with a huge 3050mAh battery which can give you upto 15 hours of battery life on normal use, in my case i had the charge whole day, but sill had to charge it at end of the day, which is pretty good for a budget phone, in the hood we can find two SIM slots which both support upto 4gLTE which is great for fast networks and video calling services.

The Eye: camera

well i was pretty overwhelmed when i saw that it performed more than what i had expected from a budget phone like this, we have a 13 mega-pixel rear camera with f/2.0 aligned with LED flash, from the fact that samsung sensor is being used, the images took from the rear camera is pretty good, even in low light conditions the focus was pretty good, though the LED flash doesn’t do the job, the camera itself is pretty good for the mid-ranged device, coming to the front shooter we have a 8 mega pixel front camera, which shoots sharp selfies, quite great enough for the phone, i liked the part that both front and back cameras produced a vibrant image, which is rare.

OS and Bloatware?

Swipe Elite Plus comes with Android 5.0.2 preloaded out of the box, you may get Marshmallow soon on it, though swipe elite plus is running on a custom skinned android called freedom OS,is developed by the swipe developers, which is near to the stock android experience, but also comes with few preloaded apps and services, which sometimes turn out to be good, but at the end of the day we all dislike bloat wares, they cause performance lags on almost all times, though they are actually built into to enhance user experience.

Freedom Os

Freedom OS comes with tons of features, for customizing your phone, it enables you to change icons, backgrounds and modify other things in your drawer and dock, which is pretty good, also it comes with a prebuilt toggle in notification bar with most used toggles, which also show up on your lockscreen, freedom OS is built to give user a enhanced experience of the android Lollipop,

few words from me..

i personally liked the design and the weight of the device, although it has almost all features a mid-ranged devices have these days, but still weighs as light as 131 gm, being in a budget phone industry is a bit tough, every now and then a phone releases in the range, but i would pick swipe elite plus for the only reason that its so light and neat, camera is good, processor is latest, everything is a charm,

THe Cloud smart: Nextbit Robin with 3GB RAM and 32GB Storage Launched at Rs. 19,999

Hey guys, we are back with a post, it is the Nextbit robin!some of you geeks may know already how seamless and elegant the phone looks, we are going to look into that later but, as we know it was a US based kickstarter campaign, which went successful, in very short span of time, well it did create a big hype in the tech world, if you are aware of that, you must be really curious of the pricing and sale in your country,
As per as India concerns Nextbit Robin is launched at price of Rs 19,999,Claiming the tagline of world’s first cloud smart phone, Nextbit Robin stands-out of the crowd with its unique idea and design, does it work? let’s see:

i have held many beautiful devices, like one plusone, iphone6, samsung galaxy s7, etc. although theses are the best-in-class smartphones according to most of the people, none of these have a proper symmetry in their design, neither i want to complain about other devices, nor would i like to compare, the symmetry in the nextbit robin makes the device standout and embrace the experience, the sharp edged design gives you a firm grip and also, makes out a minimalist look to the phone overall. the symmetry not only follows to the layout but the symmetric speakers on nextbit robin gives it a special quality of output while listening to something on nextbit robin

Nextbit Robin

things like speakers on the pinnacle and chin, the glowing lights below the logo, and the shape, define a very eminent look to the phone, In fact, the speaker in place of a menu button was one of the confusing thing for an average phone user, however it isn’t. Nextbit robin doesn’t have any physical buttons, it consists of on-screen navigation bar with home button on side which by double tapping makes it into fingerprint sensor, power button with integrated fingerprint sensor makes it comfortable to use. xomes with two colors, both minimal, one with mint and another is night,
the screen size however is the perfect one for a flagship phone to be, not too big, not too small.

overall performance

The smartphone runs on Nextbit OS based totally on Android Marshmallow 6.zero.1 out-of-the-box and is powered with the aid of a Snapdragon 808 processor along with 3GB of RAM. Nextbit hasn’t overly customized the inventory Android revel in, even though there are some important changes like custom icons for every stock app. It doesn’t have an app drawer, so all of your apps seem right on the home displays.

The Robin handles regular tasks inclusive of surfing and messaging well, as well as heavy duty obligations together with high-resolution multimedia streaming and gaming. picture intensive games like need For pace and Mortal Kombat ran fluidly at the tool.

one of the things that genuinely grew to become me off approximately the Robin changed into its terrible battery lifestyles. The battery received’t supply extra than five-6 hours of lower back up on varying regular to heavy usages. most of the times I needed to bring a powerbank along side me to hold the cellphone alive. some other bummer become the erratic fingerprint scanner. Oddly placed at the proper side, an inconsistent fingerprint scanner didn’t honestly assist.

if you are into smartphone photography, the Robin will now not thrill you. The thirteen-megapixel digicam at the again capabilities segment detection car-attention and dual-tone flash. There’s a pro mode as nicely. The telephone works fine in properly light situations, but consequences are pretty mediocre in phrases of detailing, sharpness and shade stability. Low and darkish light photographs are simply no longer on top of things. For a Rs 20,000 smartphone, the camera leaves loads to be desired. The 5-megapixel front digicam is just about right enough to take selfies that may be shared on social media.

How does the smart storage work?

basically, the Nextbit Robin comes with clever software program that manages your inner storage as you put extra media and apps to your cellphone. It offers 100GB of smart garage on the cloud, which starts to back up your content material as soon as the 32GB internal garage (24GB person available) begins to run out. The software robotically learns your utilization conduct and continues only those apps and content on your devices which you use the maximum, and the remaining are backed up.

Do now not confuse smart garage with regular cloud offerings like Google drive. Justifying its ‘cloud cellphone’ moniker, the cellphone has a much deeper integration of the cloud. You cannot one after the other get admission to the smart storage like you’ll do on Google drive or OneDrive because it’s included within the OS.

recognizing your archived apps is an easy venture. once clever storage is activated, the lesser used apps flip grey. To reuse them, you want to faucet on the gray icon, and smart garage will restore your archived app. in case you don’t need a specific app to be archived, you may pick out to pin an app. To pin an app, you need to swipe down on the icon. The icon receives smaller in size with a checkmark on it. you could also maintain tune of all your pinned apps through a devoted phase for pinned apps, that’s to be had on your private home display.

Do note that gadget apps or maybe Google apps can’t be archived or pinned. This makes feel, as changing them could mar the overall software program revel in. any other component to word is that the Nextbit Robin does not returned up your videos, so you have to both depend on Google pressure or the traditional technique of reduce and paste on your laptop or difficult drives.

The Robin additionally lets in you to screen the cloud garage levels. Head over to Settings, and tap on clever garage. you will be given a graphical presentation of your internal storage as well as cloud garage. Nextbit in addition offers you a couple of options to manipulate the manner you want archive your apps. In Settings, tap on the 3 dots icon, pick options whether you want to lower back up or not, or returned up handiest whilst wi-fi is on or each on wireless and cell statistics.

So the questions is, do you actually need a solution like smart storage? properly, yes and no. The smartphone comes with 32GB internal garage, had it supported microSD, say up to 128GB, you could not have wished the backup, at least inside the immediately function. it is well worth mentioning that Android Marshmallow helps you to circulate your apps to SD playing cards. additionally, you might have already backed up your photos and videos in your Google drive or iCloud, so yeah, you can now not necessarily need it.

right here’s the aspect, smart storage can be a nice upload-on feature to have but it can’t be the primary USP of a smartphone that in any other case has mediocre performance. it is innovation for the heck of it, when for most of the people a microSD card could suffice. uploading and then downloading your stuff could consume records out of your wireless connection’s FUP restriction, so it isn’t honestly loose. also in case you are outdoor a wireless network and require some thing that has been archived, you’ll have to down load it again over highly steeply-priced cellular information connection.

How To Turn Keyboard Vibration/Sound Off Android:Google Keyboard

Hey guys, we are here with a new post about how you can turn off vibration and sound while typing on android phones, if you ask me, the vibration really helps in terms of avoiding typo’s but those annoying sounds which we get on tapping on letters! Or you may be a fan of those sounds and not a big fan of vibration, or you just want to avoid both, or one, this post is for you! So let’s now jump in and see how we can turn off vibration/sound in google keyboard

It’s kind of big deal to just go to settings, here and there, pfft. Thank fully we have posted the shortcut to google keyboard settings to turn off vibration/sound, so we are going to Keyboard’s Settings menu, open your keyboard then long-press the button just to the left of the space bar. Yep the comma one!

Once you release the key, a popup window will appear, with two options:  Languages and Google Keyboard settings. Tap the one which says- google keyboard settings

This will open up settings menu, in which you get various options, In the Settings menu, you will find something called “Preferences” if you can see this then you are on the right place, tap on it and it will open another sub menu.

Once you have enabled “Sound on key press”, it will allow you directly to customize the loudness of the sound, it will be set to system default. You can move the slider and select the right sound you need.

You can find Sound options by scrolling down for about three-quarters, so if you prefer to hear sounds while typing toggle the switch to on.

You will find the vibration option below it, it will function similar to sound settings, Vibrate on keypress will be enabled by default, so if you don’t want the vibration, you can disable it with the slider.

However if you like it, like in my case, you can adjust the sensitivity of the vibration, in the menu just below. Well for me the default was quite adequate, but when I tried  maxing it out, I just felt how strong the vibration motor is of our phones, you can’t really imagine typing with that high vibration, though you have an option, in case you are high 😛 (jk).

There are a few other things you could change here too: “Popup on keypress,” which pops up a magnified version of the key as you type on, maybe for your accuracy or something? 😛 ;  other options include “Voice input key,” which you can use to enable/disable the mic button on the keyboard by toggling it, and last but not least “Key long press delay,” which enables you to personally define what “long press” means to you.

In the recent update of google keyboard, now we have one-hand mode, and some brand new emoji to flaunt off, regardless of the other small changes in the app itself.

A word..

There are tons of third-party keyboard apps out there in the market, but I just love minimalism and I am lazy, so Google keyboard just works fine for me, I felt useful to share this with you guys, if you liked the tutorial share it with your friends, and comment your queries or suggestions  below in the comment section
